Propeller shaft type 2, sintered bearings, rotary shaft seal
We constructed the type 2 ship shaft system in order to be able to offer you an inexpensive and 100% watertight ship shaft.
We use thick-walled brass tubes with a wall thickness of 1 mm as the stern tube. The ship's shaft is made of stainless steel and runs on both sides in oil-soaked sintered bearings, which absorb the radial forces. Axially, two Teflon washers ensure that the shaft runs smoothly and protect the bearings from sand or mud. The decisive feature of the type 2 ship's shaft is a radial shaft seal, which is located in the conical brass head. This sealing ring ensures a 100% waterproof shaft and thus a dry interior of the ship. Delivery incl. adjusting ring.
We also manufacture SHIP SHAFTS according to customer requirements with special dimensions; Price on request.
