Propeller shaft type 3, sintered bearing, ball bearing, rotary shaft seal
The propeller shaft type 3 is a sturdy construction. This type is used in both small and large model ships and meets even the highest demands. This propeller shaft is particularly popular with ship model builders who build valuable models and therefore do not want to save money at the wrong end. Nothing is more uncomfortable than replacing a defective propeller shaft, which is never possible without damaging the hull. Quality propeller shafts are cheaper in the long run!
The following features characterize the type 3 propeller shafts:
- Thick-walled stern tube made of brass (wall thickness 1 mm)
- Stainless steel shaft
- Bearing of the shaft on the water side by a large-sized bronze bearing
- Bearing of the shaft on the fuselage side by a ball bearing (covered on both sides), stainless steel
- Low-friction rotary shaft seal, 100% waterproof
- Oil filler tube for lubrication including cover cap
